Syrian natural soap - activated charcoal
Jungle Culture have partnered with the Jasmine Centre, a women's relief organisation in Jordan run exclusively by female Syrian refugees. The centre directly supports 30 female refugees, and where possible they purchase all of their materials from other displaced Syrians.
Syrian Soap-making: Aleppo soap-making is the world's oldest form of creating soaps. The technique comes from the Levant region and Syrian soap was documented as being used by Queen Cleopatra of Egypt.
Since the war in Syria began, many traditional soap-makers have been displaced and forced to abandon their craft. By supporting Syrian soaps you are helping to preserve this ancient technique as well as supporting the livelihoods of the 30 female refugees that work at the Jasmine Centre.
